Practitioners who already build conventional vision systems and need deeper capability in calibration, 3D vision and validation.
Pre-requisites
- Machine Vision Fundamentals or equivalent experience
- Comfort with coordinate systems and basic statistics
- Some programming or configurable vision-tool experience, including Python.

Learning outcomes
- Design calibrated image-measurement systems with explicit distortion, coordinate-frame and uncertainty models.
- Compare stereo, structured-light, time-of-flight and point-cloud methods against task-specific accuracy and surface constraints.
- Apply robust feature matching, registration, tracking and geometric estimation to variable industrial scenes.
- Integrate multi-camera systems with PLCs, robots and industrial networks while maintaining deterministic timing and traceability.
- Plan measurement-system studies, sampling plans and acceptance evidence appropriate to production deployment.
- Diagnose advanced imaging failures by separating optical, mechanical, sensor, calibration, algorithmic and integration causes.
